TikTok is testing an AI Song feature that generates original music tailored to users’ preferences. The feature prompts users to provide text inputs, which the AI algorithm uses to compose unique musical compositions to accompany their video clips.
The lyrics generated by the tool are powered by Bloom, the world’s largest open multilingual language model, boasting over 176 billion parameters. This vast dataset enables the AI to generate text in 46 languages, providing users with a wide range of lyrical options.
The AI Song feature is an expansion of ByteDance’s previous AI music project, Ripple, which was introduced as a standalone app in selected markets last year. Currently, TikTok is conducting tests on the AI Song feature, making it available to a limited group of users in the initial test pool.
